If you are a university staff member involved in research activities, the introduction of the Excellence in Research Australia (ERA) is likely to have had a noticeable impact upon the way in which you work.
These changes are fluid and continue apace at different institutions and workplaces across the sector. You may need to seek clarity from supervisors about your work area's performance expectations and research plans. Other kinds of misuses of ERA may still be occurring in the workplace or may have adverse impacts upon your workload. Where this is in breach of your university's Collective Agreement and you are a member, the NTEU can give you professional and industrial advice.
As information about further ERA changes becomes available, it will be posted to News.
